Easy and tasty… like side dish with pakoras for lunch or main dish with green salad for dinner.


  • 1 cup brown lentil (250g)
  • 1,7 l water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 chopped leek
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup crumbled paneer cheese
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 5 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 150 g butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons chopped parsley


In big saucepan put 1,7 l water and set to fire. Add lentil and little salt. Cook covered until lentil is soft. Drain and set to cool.
Potato cook in salt water and when it’s cooked, drain and mash it with butter and milk. Set aside.

In other pan heet the olive oil, and shortly cook leek. Add celery, smoked paprika and pepper, reduce heat and cook until celery is soft, 5-7 min.

Mash lentil and mix it with celery, crumbled panir and soy sauce. Heat the oven on 180′.
Butter ovenproof dish and put this mixture on bottom. On top put mashed potatoes and and lined it with fork.

Put in oven and bake for 30 minutes. Serve hot, sprinkled with chopped parsley.
